The Seafood Market Grill

I've been living in Malta for 18 years now and I highly recommend this restaurant! This was our first time here. While the portions are small, especially for their price, it was some of the best fish we've eaten on the island, so definitely worth it! The ceviche tasted authentic as in South America, the chef captured the flavours perfectly, although it needs to be noted that the 'ceviche tableau' is just one small portion with 3 seafoods mixed together, rather than a sampler of all three fishes (tuna, sea bass and shrimp) separately. Nonetheless we ordered it again immediately, to have more! As a main course we had a mixed grill to share with tuna cooked to perfection, sea bass and grouper, also very tasty and with all three having a distinct flavour profile. We also ordered half a lobster which was in the top3 I've ever had, not overcooked and with the butter not overpowering, which is how it should be. After such a succulent meal, we couldn't resist ordering desserts. The dark chocolate fondant was prepared in the classic way, which means good. The creme brulee had a distinct orange flavour which was a welcome surprise. And I forgot to mention, the staff is very helpful and kind. I was there with my two kids (11yo and 10yo) and they were constantly interacting and joking with them. Overall, a very nice first experience and we'll definitely be back!

Everything was perfect! The atmosphere once you arrive is very warm and welcoming, staff are friendly and very polite. Everything we ordered was fresh and tasted so good! My favorite part was the desserts! I can’t explain how good they were, I enjoyed every bite of them. I highly recommend this place ☺️

That was awesome. One of my kids (20 year old 🤦🏻‍♂️) didn’t fancy anything off the menu so the kitchen made her a risotto with mushrooms. The rest of the food that we ordered was top drawer. We were all very satisfied and left full. Would certainly recommend it if you like oysters as personally I don’t get it, but ate them anyway and have certainly had a change of mind. The fish was amazing but the pièce de résistance was the pistachio cake for dessert. Outstanding. Have it with or without the ice cream. No pictures as it was gone in 60 seconds. Go to this place. You get what you pay for!

We had an amazing dining experience! The oysters were incredibly fresh, the tuna and the lobster were perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious, and every dish was beautifully presented. To finish the meal, we tried the desserts, and they were simply mouthwatering, rich, flavorful, and they literally melted in our mouths. Everything from the food to the overall atmosphere made for a fantastic evening. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Delicious seafood spot, fresh, well cooked and reasonable priced. Specials board is always worth checking out and the wait staff were super friendly.

Try the basque cheesecake for desert, you wont regret it.
