We decided to see what the hype was about and here’s my honest opinion:

To be fair, the food was good and everything we ordered tasted fine and looked great.

The rest of the experience just fell a bit flat. We were seated in the back area, which had AC, but because it was cooler and dimmer back there, we unfortunately walked away with a few mosquito bites since the door was left open. On top of that, the staff just weren't very accommodating. It felt pretty stiff and unbothered, which definitely took away from the vibe.

When a place has this much hype and charges these prices, you kind of expect the hospitality to match the food.

Worth trying once if you want great food but honestly not a spot I’d go out of my way to recommend.

I recently visited Roża for the first time with my mother and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Genuinely an all-rounder. The ambience is lovely, the servers pay a lot of attention to their customers, and the food is so, so delicious. I’m still hung up on how good the octopus carpaccio was. Would definitely visit again.

Came here for lunch on our first day in Gozo after reading the reviews and wasnt disappointed. We sat outdoors but they also have a beautiful garden seating inside and the overall ambience is great. The service was quite prompt and warm. We tried the bruschetta with goat cheese which was very refreshing. Then we had the prawns carpaccio, caprese burrata and rabbit ravioli. The rabbit ravioli was quite good. For dessert we tried the traditional mqaret with ice cream and helwa and it was quite amazing. Overall we had a great experience.

During our 3 days holiday in Gozo, we've been here 3 times :) good that we discovered it soon enough.
The mussels in coconut milk have convinced us to come back again and again. I had the best octopus perfectly cooked. The beef taco were also good.
They have a rooftop, we didn't try it out. The restaurant is pretty big, they have many tables, but I wouldn't count on this and rather make a reservation in the peak season.
We specifically appreciated the service provided by the Nepalese and the Albanese guys. Cheers, guys! You're doing an awesome and hard work!!

We visited Gozo via a boat tour and only had a short time for lunch (less than an hour), but it was the highlight of our trip! The food was easily the best we had in Malta.
​Emma was incredible—super professional, kind, and she even gave us photo recommendations and took some great shots for us.
Now that I’m home, I know that if I ever return to Malta, I will definitely make time to come back here for a long, relaxed meal. Emma is a total star! ❤️
